Murphys Christmas Open House 2003

EPFW's mascot , Sierra the chickaree squirrel, joined the throng on Murphys Main Street last Friday, December 5. Kids and adults were eager for a hug from the prancing Sierra (who was really Emmanuel Serriere who thoroughly enjoyed wearing the costume). Gwen Serriere, Arlene, and Roger Mueller followed closely handing out leaflets to interested onlookers. The short message announced that chickaree squirrels and other critters were losing their homes due to Sierra Pacific Industries destructive logging practices. Many people thanked the EPFW members and said the organization was doing a good job. If you would like to wear the costume for an EPFW appearance (5'2 —5'8" and not too heavy), call the office. 209-795-8260. Or, if you'd like Sierra to make an appearance at a function representing EPFW, let's hear from you! | |
